Betty Ruth Weeks

Betty Ruth Weeks, 92 of Tecumseh passed away on July 9, 2021. Betty was born June 8, 1929 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Alvie and Virginia Mae (McCutcheon) Bledsoe. Her childhood was spent in rural areas near Norman, Oklahoma. She married Raymond Franklin Weeks October 4, 1947. A daughter, Beverly Ingmire was born in 1952. A son, Bradley Raymond Weeks was born in 1957. Betty resided in Oklahoma City until 1978, when she and her husband moved closer to family in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Betty is fondly remembered as an intelligent, kind and generous person who valued knowledge and learning. She had a lifelong interest in nature, biology and medicine. Betty enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing. She was deeply committed to her family and church. Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Raymond Weeks and her siblings: Jewel (Judy) Brown, Norma McKiddy, and Alvie (Pinky) Bledsoe, Jr. She is survived by two children: Beverly Ingmire and Brad Weeks and four grandchildren: Nathan Ingmire, Aaron Ingmire, Justin Weeks and Sarah Weeks. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, and a large extended family. Services will be Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the Highland Church of Christ in Tecumseh at 10:00 A.M. with Dan Fredman officiating. Burial will follow in the Denver Cemetery, East of Norman.
