Carolyn Sue Hughes

Carolyn Sue Hughes passed from this life on Monday, August 28, 2023. Carolyn was born December 9, 1939 in Wanette, OK to Jack and Viola Gladys (Durham) Lamirand. She graduated from Tucson High School.

Carolyn married George Floyd Hughes on June 15, 1998. She worked as a cook, baker, and a healthcare provider. Cooking and baking though was her passion that she loved to share with her family.

Carolyn also enjoyed sewing, quilting, volunteering for hospice, and doing any craft. While volunteering with Heartland Hospice she received the Appreciation for Volunteering award.

Carolyn’s greatest achievement was raising her children and building a family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Gladys Lamirand, husband George Hughes, son David Hughes, and sister Norma Little.

She is survived by her son Floyd Lee Hughes and wife Georgia Jeannine, son Robert M. Neal and wife Tracie L., daughter Brenda Kay Belcher and husband Frank Curtis Belcher, daughter Diana Marie Butler and husband Rick L. Butler, sister Judy Vann, sister Billie Sawyer, grandchildren Kelli Dawn Tipton and husband James, Karri Ann Brunk and husband Eric, Justin Emmons, Jessica Belcher, Ashley Chittum, Kimberly Wheeler, Elizabeth Neal, and Andrew Neal, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
