Celia Ann Card

Celia Ann Card, 67, of Shawnee was born January 10, 1950 to Leon and Leona Rogers. She passed away in her home last week.Celia dedicated her life to others and demonstrated unconditional compassion and care to all she loved; she will especially be missed by her grandchildren, Noah, Noel, Aiden, Gram and Aiyanna. Celia was a beloved middle school Reading and English Teacher who touched the lives of numerous students throughout the span of her 32-year career teaching in Shawnee, Oklahoma City and Prague Public Schools.She is preceded in death by her brother, Harold Rogers.She is survived by her parents, Leon and Leona Rogers, daughters Angela Card and Amanda Knott, sons-in-law Ibrahim Guled and Kevin Knott, sister Mignon Bolay, brother-in-law Mike Bolay, brother Randall Rogers, sisters-in-law Gloria Rogers and Lee Ann Rogers, and 1 niece and 6 nephews whom she loved very much.Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. to receive visitors. In honor of Celia’s memory, the family invites you to contribute to the Celia Ann Card Educational Assistance Scholarship Fund: c/o: BancFirst, P.O.
