It is with great sadness that the family of Charles Rayford Florence announces his passing on December 14, 2020 at the age of 84.
Charles will be lovingly remembered by his three daughters Kathy, Tina and Gayla. He is joining his beloved wife Sylvia and daughter, Cheryl in heaven. Charles will also be remembered by his son-in-laws, Duane and Wayland. Charles was blessed with five grandchildren Matt, Taylor, Josh, Reed, Charli, and one great grandchild, Rylee. A native of Oklahoma, Charles grew up in Marlow, Oklahoma, attended Marlow High School & Cameron University where he played football and then he ended his college days at Oklahoma State University.
He retired from the United States Army as a Captain in 1976. Charles was a Vocational Agriculture teacher in Monte Vista, Colorado and McLoud. He worked as a veterinary supplies salesman for several years and later worked for Ran Subaru and lastly Harvey's GMC in Shawnee. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in McLoud where he served on the Pastor Parish Relations Committee.
Charles loved the outdoors and teaching his children and grandchildren about farming, raising cows and hunting.

Services were held 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 18 at McLoud First United Methodist Church.
