Charles Thomas Kitchens

Charles Thomas Kitchens, 81, of Shawnee, OK passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in an Oklahoma City hospital.Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Westgate Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Ernie Deeds officiating.  Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.Charles was born September 21, 1935 in Stuart, Oklahoma to Jesse & Iva Kitchens, and graduated from Stuart High School. On December 24, 1957 he married the love of his life, Beverly Grant.  He worked as a construction superintendent and estimator.  Charles served his country in the 95th Division Army Reserves.  He liked fishing, hunting, Texas Ranger baseball, spending time with family and serving the Lord.        He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, a brother Lee Kitchens, and a sister Wanda Howell.He is survived by a Daughter: Charla Kitchens, Daughter & Son-in-Law: Kim & Ed Lashum, Grandson: Michael Kitchens and wife, Allison, Granddaughter: Kayla Woody and husband, Jermey, and Great-Grandchildren: Daniel, Cassidy, Laylen and Owen.
