Cleo F. Quinton passed away peacefully in her home in Shawnee, Oklahoma on March 28th 2021 at the age of 86. She was born in Roff, Oklahoma on April 18, 1934 to James Sadel King and Frances Leona Woods. Services will be Friday, April 2, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Larry Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Cleo moved to New Mexico with her husband Robert Ray Quinton, where they created their home and had 3 children Karen, Robert and Steven. She raised her family in Los Lunas, NM until she found her way to Albuquerque where she attended the Albuquerque Technical-Vocational Institute Presbyterian Hospital School of Practical Nursing and earned her LPN in December of 1983 at the age of 49. Cleo loved nursing and taking care of people for the next 14 years until retiring to pursue her true love of being outdoors and tending to her beautiful green lawns and yard full of shrubbery, various roses and flower bushes. Cleo, aka “Mama”, could always be found in her yard or kitchen preparing her family's favorite dishes. She loved nothing more than seeing all of their eager smiling faces as she continued to “practice” perfecting all the culinary delights she prepared for them and her many friends. Mama lived and loved life to its fullest until the very end. Cleo is preceded in death by her daughter Karen Denise Cary, son Robert “Bob” James Quinton, her parents, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Cleo is survived by her Son, Steven Ray Quinton. Daughter in Law, Carolyn Quinton. Grandchildren, Michelle Hernandez, Kristina Derr, Jason Cary, Shauna Schafer, Ashley Quinton, Robby Quinton, 15 Great Grandchildren, 3 (plus one on the way) Great-Great Grand Children, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
