Connie B. Woodward

Connie B. (Newnam) Woodward, 61, of Shawnee, died Sunday, June 30, 2019 at her home. She was born January 15, 1958 in Chandler, OK to Marion L. & Zorrena Newnam. She graduated from Del City High School and received her Bachelor’s of Education from Central State University. She worked as a Special Education Teacher at Fairview Elementary for Moore Public Schools, and part time as an office manager for Rose Rock Veterinary Hospital for 20 years. On June 6, 1987 she married Robert L. Woodward. Connie was a very dedicated teacher that has touched many lives through her 39 years of service as a special education teacher. She was also a very dedicated wife, mother, mam-maw, daughter and sister. She was preceded in death by her father, Marion L. Newnam. Survivors include: Her husband, Robert L. WoodwardSon: Chadwick K. Woodward, his wife Priscilla, and their son, BenjaminDaughter: Whitney M. Woodward & spouse, Craig GreerMother: Zorrena NewnamSisters: Debbie Nossaman, Dr. Beverly Fritzler, Dr. Cindy Newnam, Brenda Newnam, and their families.And many other close family and friends. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 5 in the chapel of Walker Funeral Service, with burial following in Calvary Cemetery.
