Cynthia "Cindy" L. Allen, 67, of Midwest City, OK, passed away on May 15, 2021. Cindy was born in Shawnee, OK to Paul and Norma Johnson on December 10, 1953. She graduated from Shawnee HS in 1972. She began her lifelong career in banking as a loan underwriter, working her way up the ladder into management. She worked for many banks over the years, and recently retired as Senior Vice President of the Mortgage department at Republic Bank in Norman, OK. Cindy is a devoted follower of Christ. She took out time each day for prayer and reading the Bible. She cherished her family and embraced every moment with them, traveling cross-country to visit her son and granddaughter. Since her retirement, she made an effort to have lunch with her mother on a weekly basis. She will be remembered as an avid OSU fan, cheering loud and proud for the Cowboys. She was a lover of dogs throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time at the lake house, reading a good book, playing with her "grand-dogs", shopping at antique shops, and sipping on wine. Those who knew her will always remember her contagious smile and laugh. She leaves behind 2 sons, Doug Wells and his fiancé Helené of Los Angeles, CA, and Trent Allen and his wife Kayla, of Edmond, OK, one granddaughter Jaci Wells of Los Angeles, CA, mother, Norma Johnson of Shawnee, 5 brothers: Johnny (Tracy) of Shawnee, Gene of Shawnee, Jamie of Houston, TX, Mark (Julie) of Shawnee, Michael (Karen) of Prague, 3 sisters: Elizabeth (Jerry) Lofties of Yukon, Mary (Tom) Yarbrough of Meeker, Kathryn (Chuck) Lovelace of Tulsa, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Paul Johnson, 3 great nieces: Abby Johnson, Faith Johnson, and Casie Johnson Haslam, 1 great nephew Jamison Lee Johnson, and her grandparents, Norman and Bessie Keltner, Katie Keltner, and Louie Johnson and Mable Johnson Taron. A memorial ceremony for Cindy will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Walker Funeral Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker Funeral & Cremation Service in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
