Cynthia "Cyndy" Sue Cornelius

Cynthia Sue “Cyndy” Cornelius, 56, of Shawnee, died on Monday, July 15 in her home surrounded by loved ones.  Cyndy, the daughter of Daniel and Shirley (Baber) Hunt, was born on November 1, 1962 in Altus.  She graduated from Daniel Webster High School in Tulsa, then attended Jenks Cosmetology School.  Cyndy was a hairstylist for 30 years. On May 28, 2011, she married Darrin Cornelius.  Darrin and Cyndy were the owners and operators of The Tool Box in Shawnee. Cyndy loved riding motorcycles and she was all about artsy fartsy stuff, but what stood out about Cyndy was her giving spirit. Cyndy was completely selfless, she was good at giving.  

Cyndy was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Hunt and Shirley Baber.

She is survived by her husband, Darrin Cornelius; sons, Trevor Lee Daniel Hunt and Mark Anthony Hunt; a grandson, Lincoln Daniel Hunt; her siblings, Lori DeLozier and family, Danell Hunt and family, and Daniel Hunt II and family; 11 nieces and nephews, and many other family and friends.

A memorial service is Saturday, July 20 at 10:00 AM at the Walker Funeral Chapel in Shawnee with Ethan Hale officiating. Following the service friends and family are encouraged to ride along with the family by car or motorcycle to the Henryetta Cemetery for burial.
