Dana Kay Reeder

Tecumseh resident Dana Kay Reeder, 72, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023 in Shawnee, OK.

Dana was born January 19, 1951 in Meeker, OK to Tom L. Birt and Doris (Smith) Birt.  She graduated from Ventura High School in CA and later returned to Oklahoma in 1976.  She married Wayne Reeder in 2017.  She loved reading, cooking and being with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Joseph Birt.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne Reeder of the home; four children, Melody Birt of Shawnee, Kimbery Reece and husband Frank of Shawnee, Suzanne Blair of MO, and Adam Richards and wife Shelli of Shawnee; grandchildren, Michael Jackson and wife Nikki, Tyler Jackson and wife Brianna, Olin Blair, Destini Richards, and Drake Richards; great-grandchildren, Swayze, Owen, and Kennedy; one brother, Thomas Birt of FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A memorial ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 11, 2023 at Liberty Baptist Church, 711 E. Federal St., Shawnee, OK.
