Ponca City

Deanna Sue (Roddy) Rowe aka Dee Dee passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 in Ponca City.

Dee Dee was born to Roy and Frances (Osborn) Roddy on July 19, 1961 in Ponca City. Unfortunately, Deanna lost her parents at a young age and was later adopted by Eddie and Charlene Barnes.

At a young age DeeDee attended Central Baptist Church and Sunset Baptist Church of Ponca City. She enjoyed going to car races, car shows and concerts.  Spending most of her life in Ponca City, she liked riding Harleys, cheering for OSU, Dallas Cowboys and the Atlanta Braves. Other than sports she liked to watch Street Outlaws, Live PD and Monk.  She was well known for working at a couple of gas stations in town. She was friendly and very social. Many people called her Mama Dee. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her grandchildren and cooking. She loved to cook and feed friends and family.

Deanna beat cancer but the chemo and radiation took a toll on her body. She fought to overcome the treatment for over 3 years.

She is survived by her three children, Crystal Miller and Jerry Dale Rowe both of Ponca City and Lucas Rowe of Wichita, KS; ten grandchildren: Tanner Rowe, Aiden Rowe, Ethan Rowe, Alexis Rowe, Kailyn Rowe, Devyn Rowe, Justin Miller, Trinity Miller, Brayden Griffith and Annie Mason; one sister, Mary England and niece, Sarah McLaughlin of Columbus, Ohio. She is also survived by siblings: Debbie McClaskey and husband Harland, Bambi Correll and husband Bill, Chuck Barnes and wife Glenda, Chad Barnes and wife Sabrina, Wendy Terrazas and husband Alfonso and Theresa Fry all of Ponca City who were a part of her adopted family along with many nieces and nephews. Survivors also include her step-daughter, Beth (Peterson) Cohen and husband Mark of Milwaukee, WI and we can't forget DeeDee's right hand, her best friend, Deborah Dorsey aka Speedy.

She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Frances Roddy; her adopted parents, Eddie and Charlene Barnes; and one grandchild, Courtney Nicole Miller.

A come as you are memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 11:00 am at Sunset Baptist Church with Pastor Russ Aday officiating. DeeDee's family will bury her remains with her biological parents at IOOF Cemetery in Ponca City at a later time.
