Debra Gail Fielding-Jackson, resident of Shawnee, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. She was 70 years old. Debra was born on March 1, 1954 in Indio, California to her parents, George Olin Blue and Gladys Louise (Prater) Blue. She graduated from Shawnee High School as part of the Class of 1972. After completing cosmetology school, Debra worked as a hairstylist and as an instructor at the school. One of her greatest and proudest achievements was her son, Matthew Fielding. Debra was heavily involved in Boy Scouts with her son. She was a Scout Leader when her son was in Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Order of the Arrow, and Vigil of OA. She was a proud Bob white from Woodbadge. Debra was also a recipient of the District Award of Merit for her outstanding volunteer service on the district level as well as the Bronze Buffalo award. Outside of scouting, Debra was an avid OU sports fan and a member of University Baptist Church in Shawnee. She married Steve Jackson on March 14, 2019.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents, George and Gladys Blue.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Steve Jackson of Shawnee, son, Matthew Fielding and wife Colleen of Mustang, OK, grandchildren, Isabella Christianna Fielding, Taygen Eyman, Elizabeth Eyman, and David Eyman, great-grandchild, Scarlett Eyman, sisters, Patsy R. Moore and Phyllis A. Flora and husband Thomas of Shawnee, step-son, Ryan Jackson of Mulhall, OK, and her faithful companion, Bandit.
Visitation for Debra will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 5-7 pm at Walker Funeral & Cremation Service. A funeral ceremony will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Walker Funeral Chapel. Following the ceremony, Debra will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Casketbearers will be: Matthew Fielding, Cody Flora, Gary Heard, Matthew Garlington, Aaron Williams and Jordan McLaughlin.
Honorary Casketbearers will be: Brian Krausse, Erich Krausse, Rob Haugh, and Steve Moore.
Debra lived a life of cheerful service to others through Boy Scouts and will be deeply missed.
