Denise Lynne Powell

Denise Lynne Powell was born April 11, 1963 in Meadville, Pennsylvania to Lawanda Irene Murdock and Dennis Edward King and passed from this life on March 1, 2021 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 57 years. Denise was married to Frank Powell for 34 years, and was a loving wife and mother who loved spending time with her grandkids. She was an avid animal lover and also loved being outdoors. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lawanda and son, Jacob. She is survived by: Husband: Frank Powell; 5 Sons: Michael King of Shawnee, Travis King and wife Jennifer King of Mimbres, New Mexico, Devon King of Shawnee, Jordan King of Shawnee, and Josh Powell and wife Sarah Powell of Shawnee; Daughter-in-Law: Helen King; 12 Grandchildren; her Father: Dennis King; 3 Brothers: Doug, Denny and Jason; 2 Sisters: Samantha and Stacey; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Walker Funeral Chapel in Shawnee.
