Donald Eugene McKee

Donald Eugene McKee of Oklahoma City, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the age of 82.Don, the son of Ralph and Clement McKee was born August 1, 1935 in Shawnee Oklahoma. He graduated from Shawnee High School and then attended Oklahoma State University. Don proudly served in the US Army. He was the part owner of McKee Lumber; he also worked in real estate and in banking. Don enjoyed playing tennis and golf.He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Betty Manis.Don is survived by his children, Leslie Williams and her husband Dale of Oklahoma City, Brent McKee and his wife Tracey of Laguna Hills, California, Chad McKee of Edmond, Jenni Smoliak and her husband Brian of Owasso, and Jeff McKee of Lawrence, Kansas; 9 grandchildren, and many other family and friends.A memorial service will be held Monday, February 26, 2018, at 1:00 PM at the Pavilion of Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee, under the direction of Walker Funeral Service. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to Voluntary Service Oklahoma City VA Health Care System, 921 N.E. 13th St. OKC 73104 in the name of Don McKee.
