Dovie Jean Lucy

Meeker resident, Dovie Jean Lucy, 85, died Saturday, October 14, 2017 in a Meeker Nursing Home.Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Dale Cemetery with Rev. Felecia Hensley (Niece) officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has designated the Alzheimer’s Association as appropriate for memorials. Dovie was born September 11, 1932 in Tribbey, Oklahoma to Abraham Newkirk & Bessie Mae (Coley) Troutman.  She worked as an accountant for the State of Oklahoma.In 1951 she married Paul A. Russell.  He preceded her in death July 3, 1966.  She then married Roy L. Lucy on September 11, 1974.  He preceded her in death in July, 2004.                     She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, LN Troutman and Boyd Troutman, a sister, Calleen (Dean) Pults, nephews Kenneth Troutman and Ronnie Southerland, and a grandson Russell Keith Ross. She is survived by: Daughter & Son-in-Law: Annethra Faith & Larry Ross of Port Aransas, TX; Step-Sons & Spouses: Paul & Gina Lucy of Tulsa, and John David & Dawn Lucy of Dallas, TX; Step-Daughter & Spouse: Lela May & Tim Holmes of Kansas City, KS;                                 Grandchildren: Zack Ross of Stillwater, OK; Natalie and husband Ceth Lightfield of Davis, CA; Anthony & wife BJ Lucy of Boyd, TX; Danielle Lucy of McLoud, OK; Brent Haynes of Tishamingo, OK, and Tristan Lucy of Norman, OK; and Great Grandchildren: Ryan Ross and Jaci Jo Lucy.
