Erica Shalynn Harris

Erica Harris passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. She was 13 years old. 

Erica loved her family and friends more than anything except for maybe a baby cow. She liked acting silly, making funny faces, and making people smile. She loved art and drawing made her heart smile. She put pictures all over the house...even inside the fridge just to make everyone smile. She tucked her momma in every night. She had a secret handshake with her best friend. She loved golf cart rides, spending time with all her family, especially her sisters and brother, and playing with her nephew. She was very excited and looking forward to meeting her soon-to-be nephew, Tucker. Her dad loved when his Am'Erica would ask, "What are your eyebrows for?" and she would raise them up and down over and over. She made sure you knew how she felt by saying "love you miss you." Gone far too soon, Erica is missed beyond measure. But she is no longer in pain. Her heart is free. Her love will live on in those that knew and cherished her. If you were lucky to know her, you were absolutely better for it. 

Erica is survived by her mom and fiancée, Roberta and Bryan, dad and partner, Freddie and Ava, older sisters, Taylor and Jessica, older brother, Gage, nephew, Sam, grandparents, Robin, Wayne (predeceased), Dana, Gerald and Christina, aunts and uncles, Nicole and Sean, Denise, David, Ashun, Nichol and Terrance, Veronica and Stuart, Angela and Lance and multiple cousins. A funeral ceremony for Erica will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Walker Funeral & Cremation Service. There will be no public viewing.
