Evelyn Fowler

Meeker resident Evelyn Fowler, 79, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Meeker Assembly of God with Bill Forman officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker.  She was born March 5, 1938 near Davenport, Oklahoma to Thomas Bert and Ola May (Sharp) Newnam.  She married William Edwin Fowler on January 28, 1956.  She worked at Wolverine Tube until her retirement.  She was a member of Meeker Assembly where she was very active.  She also enjoyed fishing and camping. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Tommy and Carl, a sister: Hazel, and a granddaughter: Stephanie McLaughlin. Survivors include her husband: Edwin Fowler of the home; Children: Sandra Moore of Meeker, Gloria and Cliff Bray of Shawnee, Dennis and Brenda Fowler of Meeker, and Cathy Fowler of Shawnee; 7 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends.
