Gary Leon Linn

Meeker resident Gary Leon “Pete” Linn, 70, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020, in Prague.

Gary, the son of Jessie and Della (Gentry) Linn, was born on August 23, 1949, in Meeker. He graduated from Meeker High School with the class of 1967. On December 20, 1968, Gary married Rita Winter, at the Meeker Assembly of God Church. In 1977 Gary started Linn’s Heat and Air which he owned and operated much of his life. Gary continued working in heat and air when his grandson, Aftahn, followed in his footsteps and started his own heat and air business.

When Gary wasn’t working he was enjoying his other passion, restoring hot rods. Over the years Gary restored countless hot rods and classic cars.

Gary was a faithful member of the Meeker Assembly of God church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gary is survived by his wife, Rita; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Susan Linn; brothers, Gene Linn and May, and Wayne Linn and Barbara; grandchildren, Abby and Steven Thompson, Aftahn and Cheyanne Linn, Luke Linn, Jake Linn and Addie Linn; a great- granddaughter, Bella Thompson; and many other family and friends.

The Linn family will be available from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, at Walker Funeral Service in Shawnee for visitation.

Services will be Monday, at 2:00 PM at the Meeker Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Bill Forman officiating.

Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker.  Service is under the direction of Walker Funeral Service in Shawnee.
