Gloria was born July 1, 1930 in Temple, OK to her parents, Clyde Byron Rodolph, Sr. and Pauline (Belle) Rodolph. She graduated from Mt. Park HS before returning to Walters, OK where she was a standout member of her local church choir and met the love of her life, John Earl Taylor. They were married July 1, 1951 and remained steadfastly committed to one another the last 70+ years. She worked at the Stillwater County Courthouse so John could finish college before becoming a homemaker and mother forever devoted to her children, Teresa and Steve - her proudest accomplishments. Gloria and John raised their children in Shawnee and lived there 23 years prior to moving to Edmond. She was skilled in arts and crafts and her fondness for felines was only surpassed by her passion for professional tennis, Thunder basketball, singing hymnals and cherished memories of those glorious summers at Lake Eufaula.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Clyde "Bud" Rodolph Jr of Norman, and sister, Mary Jane Gateley of Oklahoma City, as well as her daughter, Teresa Lauderdale of Shawnee.
Survivors include her husband, John Taylor of Edmond, son, Steve Taylor of Norman, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
