Gregory Irl Kieson

Gregory Irl Kieson, 74, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on April 14, 2024. Born in Columbus, Wisconsin and raised in Randoph, Greg spent much of his life in New Jersey and Pennsylvania before settling in Oklahoma in 1998.

A respected member of the Moore Norman Technology Institute community, Greg was instrumental in developing the Small Business Incubator, helping local entrepreneurs achieve their dreams. His commitment to fostering innovation and growth left a lasting impact on the community.

As a world-traveler, Greg took great pride in engaging with people all over the world and finding ways to encourage inclusion and diversity through cultural exchange.  Having spent years working in South and Central America and with business ventures in Africa and Asia, he collected stories and friends from around the world.  Greg also loved the outdoors and became an avid golfer and fisherman, spending many joyful hours on the course and at the lake. He also took great joy in engaging with the community at the local Elk's Lodge #417 which served as a foundation of his social life in Oklahoma.

Greg is lovingly remembered by his wife, Shelley, his daughters, Stephanie and Emily, his grandchildren Danica and Audrey, his son-in-law Scott, his doctor-in-law Marios, his stepson Brian Satterfield and wife Leona, and step granddaughters Hailey, Ashlyn, and Lillian Satterfield. He will be missed for his warmth, generosity, and the sincere interest he showed in the lives of those around him.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no memorial or funeral service. Those who wish to honor Greg's memory are asked to make donations to St. Jude and Wounded Warriors Project.
