Shawnee resident Harley Flanagan, 90, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 at his home.Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler. Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.Harley was born January 19, 1928 in Depew, Oklahoma to Ernest and Delphia Flanagan. He served in the military as a paratrooper for the U.S. Army. After the military he attended telegraph school, worked as a car salesman in Stroud for his father, worked at Douglas in Tulsa, and late worked at Tinker Air Force Base where he retired after 20 years. Harley enjoyed reading, fishing, working in his yard, nice watches and nice cars, and traveling on his motorcycle. He even earned his pilot’s license and enjoyed flying. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Jessie.He is survived by, Wife: Karen Flanagan of the home,Sons: Larry Flanagan and wife Suzanne of Shawnee,Richard Leivas of Shawnee,Bobby West and wife Peggy of Tecumseh,Randy West and wife LouAnn of Shawnee,Grandchildren: Juleigh Flanagan of Shawnee,Nicolas and Jessie Haynes of Tecumseh,Benjamin and Cheyenne Haynes of Nashville,Ashley West of Florida,Westley West of Tecumseh,Great-Grandchildren: Layla and Elizabeth of Nashville,And Amber of Tecumseh,A brother: Tommy Flanagan of Shawnee.And several other family members and friends.
