Hattie Marie Jackson, 75, of Columbus Ohio was born in 1946 to Alvin and Mary Jackson in Shawnee Oklahoma. Hattie went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday January 11, 2022. After graduating from Shawnee High School, Hattie moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with husband JC, where they lived for fifteen years and reared four children. Her love for faith, family and friends was undeniable. Hattie never met a person or situation that intimidated her. Her bold, warm personality significantly impacted everyone she encountered. Her enthusiasm was contagious, her character unselfish, her outlook positive and her friendships long-lasting. She was truly a pillar of faith for her children and grandchildren. She loved worship and reading the Word and is no doubt overjoyed to finally be with her heavenly Father for all eternity. Hattie leaves to cherish her memory a son, Todd Carr; three daughters, Terry Carr, Tiffany Dearman, and Tanell Carr; and six grandchildren: Karr, Kennedy, and Kaya Hill; and Jayla, Nicholas, and Noah Dearman. She is also survived by her stepmother, Thelma Jackson; brothers, Robert Winrow, Melvin (wife, Vernetta) Jackson, Kenneth Winrow, Dr Dewayne (wife, Margaret) Winrow, and Maurice Jackson; sisters, Vera Myers, Glenda (husband,Ernest) Franklin, Reujena Winrow, Diane Morris and Sharon Knighton. Preceding her in death are parents Alvin and Mary Jackson, grandparents, Cleveland and Fannie Jackson and Willie and Lillian Rivers; brothers, James C. Jackson, Danny R. Winrow, and Ervin C. Jackson; sisters, Vivian White, Verta Massey, Brenda Banks and Gladys “Gena” Jackson. Hattie was also preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, J. C. Carr. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, James Jackson, Brenda Banks, Gladys Regina Jackson, Ervin Jackson, Vivian White, and Verte Mae Massey. Hattie was also preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, J. C. Carr. Services will be Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Walker Funeral Chapel in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Viewing will be Thursday and Friday at Walker Funeral Service until 6pm.
