Helen Marie Rose

Shawnee resident, Helen Marie Rose, 70, passed away Friday, August 4 in Shawnee. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 9 at Walker Funeral Chapel with Dr. Wesley Paul Coffey officiating. Helen was born April 13, 1947 in Okemah, OK to Bill Franklin Meeks and Geraldine “Jerry” Meeks.  She was a 1965 graduate of Shawnee High School.  On July 1, 1966 she married Larry Rose in Shawnee. She worked as a baker with Aramark Food Services at St. Gregory’s University for approximately 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents. Helen is survived by her husband, Larry Eugene Rose, of Shawnee; son & daughter-in-law, Billy & Deborah Rose of Yuma, AZ; daughter, Angela Glenn of Missouri; granddaughter, Kara Tollison and her husband Kenny of Shawnee, and great-grandchildren, Blayze, Corbin and Aiden.
