Holly Lee Hamilton, 61, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, in an automobile accident in Chandler, Oklahoma. Holly was born on March 30, 1963 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Linda Jean (Hale) and James Olan Hamilton. Holly was a proud Native of the Cherokee, Choctaw and Creek tribes. Holly graduated from Earlsboro High School in 1981, and went on to attend the College of San Diego, studying respiratory therapy. Holly took pride in her work as a Certified Respiratory Therapist for thirty-eight years and a RT Student Instructor at Francis Tuttle Technology Center in Oklahoma City for twenty-five years.
Holly excelled at many passions and over came difficulties most individuals would not ever attempt to conquer. She made it her mission to improve the lives of others. Holly was a member of the ASPCA, Better Breathers Association, and American Heart Association. She loved volunteering at the many hospitals for whom she worked as a respiratory therapist including Mission Hills Hospital in Shawnee, Memorial Specialty Hospital in Midwest City, Hillcrest Family Health Center, Mercy Memorial Hospital and SSM Health, all in Oklahoma City. We will never truly know the number of lives that were touched by Holly.
Holly is survived by her daughter, Mia Chivon Hamilton and fiancé Christopher Michael Nappa, Norman; her precious grandsons, Camden Drew Pratcher, Orion Crue Pratcher, and Josiah Martin Perez; one son, Brian Keath Hamilton and fiancé Dr. Christina Washington, Oklahoma City; her parents, Linda Jean Branson and James Olan Hamilton both of Oklahoma City; brother, James David Hamilton, Oklahoma City; Timothy Justin Hamilton and wife Brandi Nichole Hamilton, Kansas. She is survived by nieces and nephews: James Tyler Hamilton, Braylon Tyler Hamilton, Makenna Raelynn Hamilton and Ryder Lane Hamilton.
Holly dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend and therapist. She will be greatly missed by many. Holly's final resting place is in the Johnson Cemetery in Johnson, Oklahoma. A private burial was held for Holly's immediate family on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. A celebration of life was held on Saturday August 10, 2024, from 10:00am - 1:00pm at The Railhouse Event Center located at 102 West Eufaula, in downtown Norman.
