J. Diane Gill

J. Diane Gill took her last breath on Sunday, November 24 at SSM Hospital, having succumbed to her battle with emphysema. 

Diane was married to Larry D. Gill, a Financial Advisor and Wealth Manager in Shawnee. They were married in 1967 in Stubblefield Chapel on the campus of Oklahoma Baptist University, their Alma Mater. Diane, along with her partner Linda (Cearley) O'Neal were state doubles tennis champions for Shawnee and team champions along with teammates Patsy Rippy and Cheryl (Stapp) Lawson.

Before developing emphysema, Diane embraced an active lifestyle, finding joy in travel and walking for fitness. She especially cherished the beauty of autumn in the mountains of New Mexico, where she loved hiking and camping. Diane also had a heart for service, volunteering for several years with Meals-On-Wheels.

She is survived by her loving husband, Larry; her brother-in-law, Richard Finley; and her niece and nephew, Lindsay and Blake. 

Diane was preceded in death by her sister, Teresa Finley; her mother, Pat McKey; and her father, Robert (Bob) McKey. Her life was filled with adventure, kindness, and love, leaving an indelible mark on those who knew her.
