Jackie "Jack" Ray Garner, passed away on April 8, 2024, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was born on September 8, 1956, in Pryor, Oklahoma to James and Barbara Garner. Jack led a rich and fulfilling life characterized by dedication and hard work. He graduated from Pryor High School and served his country with honor as a member of the United States Air Force. After his military service, Jack continued his education at Southwest Missouri State University where he received a Bachelor's Degree in CAD drafting. Jack then pursued a career as a draftsman and later excelled as a heavy haul conveyor (OTR). 

Outside of work, Jack found true happiness in spending time with his family. He was known for always being there to lend a helping hand whenever needed. Jack's memories will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness and generosity.

In addition to his successful career and devotion to his family, Jack had a variety of interests that brought joy to his life. From casino trips to traveling and exploring new cities, watching horse races, football, NASCAR, and basketball games to snow skiing adventures, Jack embraced every moment with enthusiasm and zest for life.

Jack's proudest accomplishments included becoming a father, earning the nickname "Apple Jack" from his grandchildren, and establishing himself as a successful business owner. His legacy will continue through the values he instilled in those around him and the impact he made on the lives of others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Barbara Garner, nieces, Becky Young and Sherry True, Doyl Austin, Ruby Goodfellow, and Jimmy Harrison.

Jack is survived by his loving family members, spouse, Delta Foor, daughter, Ashley Friend and husband Taylor, son, Zach Garner and Cassandra Navarro-Hanna, grandchildren, Bradley, Logan, Maple, Maliya, brother, Berry Garner and Vicki, sister, Debbie Newton and husband Mike, brother, James "Dink" Garner and wife Cheryl, sister, Linda Weakley, sister, Beverly Taylor, and other extended family, Chris and Michelle Watson and their family and Josh Smith.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so on Friday, April 12th at Walker Funeral & Cremation Service from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Visitation with family present will take place on Sunday, April 14th from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the funeral home. A funeral ceremony honoring Jack's life will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 at the Walker Funeral Chapel starting at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Christopher Trucker's Relief Fund (Truckersfund.org).

In honoring Jack's memory, let us remember his warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit. May he rest in peace knowing that he made a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
