Jacquelyn "Jackie" Louise Coolley passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 69. Jackie was born on February 2, 1955, in Oklahoma City to her parents, Melvin and Mary Murrow. 

Jackie was celebrated not only for her accomplishments in education but also for her warm heart and unwavering faith. She was a source of comfort and support for many, embraced everyone like family, and demonstrated a remarkable ability to love and accept others without reservation. Memories shared by those who knew her reflect a woman who was never afraid to speak out for what she believed in, guided by her faith in God. She often journaled her prayers, listening for the divine guidance she cherished throughout her life.

Her family meant the world to her. Jackie had an immense love for her grandchildren, and her most treasured moments included reading to them, playing games, baking, and snuggling. She filled their lives with warmth and joy, creating a nurturing environment that fostered love and kindness. Her commitment to family extended beyond her immediate relatives to include friends of her children and her students, making everyone feel included in her vast circle of love.

Jackie's accomplishments as an educator were significant. She earned her Masters in Education from Oklahoma State University, a feat she achieved through tenacity and determination, even during the initial stages of her battle with dementia. In recognition of her exemplary work in math and science teaching, she was honored with the Oklahoma Presidential Award in Excellence in 2000, which included a memorable trip to Washington, D.C., to meet the President. Jackie also achieved her National Board Certification, one of the most respected professional certifications available in education.

Her interests were varied and enriching, from gardening and baking to playing the piano and watching her beloved Dallas Cowboys football team. Jackie's vibrant spirit and compassionate nature left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Murrow, mother, Mary Murrow, and nephew, Stephen Murrow.

Survivors include her husband, Steven Coolley; daughter, Taylor Israel and husband Kirk Israel; granddaughters, Juliet Israel and Sophia Israel; grandson, T.C. Israel; daughter, April Coolley; grandson, Jaxon Coolley; son, Jeremy Coolley and wife Charis Coolley; daughter, Crystal Dennis and husband Marquess Dennis, Sr.; grandsons, Marquess Dennis, Jr. and Tyreese Dennis; brother, Walter Murrow and wife Carolyn Murrow; niece, Tracey Brown; great-niece, Jessica Brown; great-nephew, Jacob Bell; sister, Karen Murrow; niece, Rainy Douglas; and great-niece, Westlynn Castleman.

A memorial ceremony to honor Jackie will be held on at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Faith Community Church of God. 

She leaves behind a legacy of love, gratitude, and a deep-rooted faith that will continue to inspire those who carry her memory in their hearts.
