Mcloud resident James “Shot” Robinson passed from this life on Friday, January 15, 2021 in McLoud, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at Schwartz Cemetery.
He was born August 23, 1929 at home near Bethel Acres to James Scott Robinson Sr. and Ida M. (Brown) Trayler. He graduated from McLoud High School in 1947. He served in the United States Army from February 1951 until February 1953 during the Korean Conflict. He married Lindy Gene (Newby) on April 9, 1955. He retired from Tinker in 1990. His hobbies included raising cattle, rabbits, chickens, gardening, fishing and Easter parties, dinners with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers: Eugene, Charles, and Donald, 4 sisters: Elizabeth, Lucille, Pauline, and Evelyn, and numerous close family members.
He is survived by his wife, Gene Robinson of the home; daughter, Carolyn Chandler and husband Dan of OKC; son, Scott Robinson and wife DeAnna of OKC; two grandsons, Alex Chandler of OKC and Conner Robinson of OKC; step-granddaughter, Morgan Kropp and husband Will of Ocean Side, CA; granddaughters, Lori Eslinger and husband Bill of McLoud, Monica Mapira and husband Shelton of Newalla, and many family, extended family, and friends.
