James H. Webb

James H. Webb, 76, of Shawnee, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 in a local nursing home.Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018 at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Rossville Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Service. James was born September 3, 1941 in Prague, Oklahoma to Ralph & Neva (Rackley) Webb. He was a 1959 graduate of Del City High School, and earned his BS degree in Political Science/History from Central State. On July 1, 1961 he married Jackie Britt in Wewoka, Oklahoma, and served with the United States Air Force.James was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Bethel Acres Lions Club, and a Shriner for over 30 years with Legion of Honor. He worked as a substitute at Shawnee High School, and enjoyed square dancing. He was a past President for Pottawatomie County Ball, umpired baseball and softball games for many years, ball coordinator at Bethel Acres and ran chains at Bethel Acres football games.He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Bill Webb, a nephew Jeff Austin, and a brother-in-law, Jerry LottJames is survived by his wife, Jackie WebbSon & Daughter-in-Law: Matt & Dusty WebbDaughter: Christy Brown8 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren2 Sisters & 1 Brother-in-Law: Trudy & Bill Austin and Jean LottSister-in-Law: Donna Webb
