Jason Edgar Bryan

We are sad to share that Jason Edgar Bryan, 35, passed away at home in Belle Plaine, Kansas, on May 6, 2023, from cancer. Jason was born in Wichita, Kansas, on November 25, 1987.  He attended school in Belle Plaine, graduating in 2006.  

Jason married his high school sweetheart, Bethany Fergen, in 2010, and together they had three children, Vanessa, Reid, and Emmett, all of whom survive him. He's also survived by his parents, Buford and Tracey Bryan, and his brother, Gage Bryan. 

He spent his career with Spirit Aerosystems as a design engineer and CNC Programmer.  Jason spent as much time as possible with his family, playing with his kids, fishing, hunting, woodworking, and dominating in any kind of sport you could name. He was always ready to take on new challenges, whether that was building a chicken coop, learning to grow hemp, or fixing up an old go-kart. Jason had a special natural ability to make everyone around him feel like a close friend. He was especially proud of his faith, baptized in 2010, and spent many of his final days reading his Bible. 

A memorial ceremony with reception following will be held to celebrate Jason's life and honor his family at 1pm on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Countryside Christian Church, 1919 South Rock Road, Wichita, KS 67207.  Prior to the ceremony, Jason will be laid to rest privately at the Paradise Valley Cemetery in Belle Plaine, KS.
