Early Monday morning , September 2, longtime Shawnee resident, Jeanne Sanderson Payne Littrell, aged 89, went to be with the Lord.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 6 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
She was born in Holdenville, to Arthur and Lucille Sanderson. She enjoyed life in this small Oklahoma town. After completing high school in Holdenville Oklahoma in 1948, she married Kent Payne, Sr. from Wetumka Oklahoma. They were married and celebrated a fifty-year anniversary in 1998. After Kent’s passing in 2003, she married Tommy Littrell, a high school friend from Holdenville.
She worked for many years as secretarial staff at David Little Construction, Aroma Foods, and Payne and Payne Logging Co. Her hobbies included bridge, artwork and she was active as a homemaker and in the ELGA Ladies Golf Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Ronna Jean Richards, husband Kent Payne, Sr. and husband Tommy Littrell.
She is survived by son Kent Payne, Jr and his wife Denise Buckner Payne of Central America, son Artie Payne and his wife Jerri Payne of Dale, sister-in-law Pody Johnson from Shawnee and son-in-law Glenn Richards from North Enid, grandchildren Andrea Payne-Franzese, Ryan Richards, Amanda Payne-Sandefer, Leslie Richards-Brown, Joshua Payne, Jeremy Payne, Justin Payne, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
