Jerry Dean Newcomb

Chandler resident Jerry Dean Newcomb, 85, passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 at his home. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Meeker Assembly of God.  Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler.

Jerry was born May 26, 1934 in Ringling, Oklahoma to Benjamin and Rosa (Ashe) Newcomb.  He graduated high school in Bakersfield, CA.  He married Jodella (Sirmons) in 1951.  Jerry served in the United States Army in Korea from 1953 to 1955.  He worked as a Patrolman for the California Highway Patrol and retired in 1980.  In 2000, his wife Jodella died and he later married Elma (Ivey).  Jerry enjoyed watching old westerns and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, and 12 siblings.

He is survived by three children: Terry Newcomb and wife Celeste of Broken Arrow, Ben Newcomb and wife Peanut of Chandler, Larry Newcomb of Lindsey, CA, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
