Jerry Paul Perkins

Jerry Paul Perkins, age 83 of Shawnee Oklahoma passed away on Saturday April 10th 2021. Pastor Wayne Sloan will present memorial services at C3 Cross Connection Church, 329 North Pesotum Avenue, Shawnee Oklahoma on Wednesday April 28th 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. in Tecumseh Cemetery followed by a dinner at C3 Cross Connection Church at 3:00 p.m. Jerry was born in Oxford, Mississippi on March 24th 1938 to Samuel and Vera Perkins. Jerry attended Lawton High School in Lawton Oklahoma. Jerry married Helen R Sloan on July 2, 1962 and they were married for 59 years. He proudly served as a drill sergeant in the United States Army 95th infantry. After leaving the army Jerry worked as a furniture mover for a number of years. Jerry is survived by his wife of 59 years Helen R Perkins of Shawnee, son Jerry (Tesa)Perkins of Shawnee, daughters Rhonda Gale Perkins, Tammy Lynn Perkins both of Shawnee, and adopted daughter Gayle Swindle, 12 grandchildren, a bucket full of great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, many other family members and Friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Vera Perkins, Brothers Floyd Brooksie Perkins,Roy Hanson Perkins, John William Perkins and Marion Herschel Perkins. In lieu flowers memorial donations may be given to or mailed to Jerry Dale Perkins 712 West Benedict Street Shawnee Oklahoma 74801. The family would like to give a special thank you to C3 Cross Connection Church of Shawnee for the use of the church and gymnasium for services and to the Praying it Forward Oklahoma volunteers Beth and Veronica for the food service and clean up.
