Jewel Stroder was born to Jessie Creecy and Ruth (Long) Creecy on May 18, 1938 in Waynesboro, Tennessee. She passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018 in Shawnee, OK. She was 80 years old.Preceding her in death were her grandson Kyle Adam Stroder, her husband Carl (Bud) Leon Stroder and a brother Jessie Jr. Creecy.Jewel married Carl Bud Stroder on September 16, 1954 in Osceola, Arkansas.Survivors include son Carl Dennis Stroder of Plainview, Arkansas,And daughters Sherry Diane Stroder of Shawnee,Brenda Butler of Sparks,Mona Burleson of OKC,Tracy Stroder of San Francisco, CA,Sharon Stroder of Chandler,2 brothers Melvin Creecy of Arkansas,Billy Creecy of N.C.,And many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends. Besides being a mother and housewife she also had many jobs where she worked at an elastic factory in Mississippi, a blanket factory and fuel haul in N.C., a sewing factory in Chandler, OK and TDK in Shawnee where she retired after 24 years.Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker with Rev. Joe Jones officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.
