Jo Ann Gilmore

Jo Ann Gilmore (Jojo) 82 years of age, passed away on October 18th 2020 in Harrah, Oklahoma.

Jojo was born on May 7th, 1938 to Oscar and Irene Surface in Jefferson City, Missouri. Jojo loved her family and never met a stranger. She loved playing bingo, word search and cross word puzzles, putting puzzles together and arts & crafts with all of her friends at the Harrah Senior Center.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, a brother Jerry Surface and son Dennis Gilmore.

She is survived by her son Mike Gilmore and wife Christie of McLoud, her son Rick Gilmore of Choctaw, 3 brothers, Larry, Gary and Terry Surface all of Missouri, granddaughters Christy Gilmore, Lisa Banks, Stacie Heath and Olivia Gilmore, grandsons Dustin Koster and Dennis Gilmore and 13 great-grandchildren. Jojo was anxiously awaiting her great, great granddaughter Allison, that will be born in March. Jojo also has many nieces and nephews and other family members that she loved.

Jojo's family would like to thank all of her friends that live in Harrah Senior Housing for looking out for her and loving her like family.

The funeral service will be Friday, October 23, at 2:00 PM at Walker Funeral Service in Shawnee, with Larry Sparks officiating. Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.
