JoAnne Denise Sander

JoAnne Denise (Farwell) Sander passed away at a local hospital on Saturday, February 11, 2023, after a long illness. She was 63 years old. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 1:00 pm at New Beginnings Church in Shawnee, OK.  Friends and family will meet in the fellowship hall at 12:00pm before the service.

JoAnne, or "Jody" as her friends and family knew her, grew up in California and moved to Oklahoma more than 30 years ago.  She loved people and animals.  She had a great passion for Dachshunds and had many through the years. Jody remained friends with her childhood playmates and never knew a stranger. Jody had a kind heart and would give a hand to anyone in need.

She is survived by her mother, Frances Cole of Shawnee, Oklahoma; sister, Lisa Cole of Port Orange, Florida; son, Jared Farwell of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Danielle Wasson of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Zach Farwell of Arkansas and Kenzie Farwell of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and great-granddaughter, Isabella Pavone of Broken Arrow, OK.
