John C. Gordon, Sr. age 54 of Shawnee, died Saturday November 6, 2021 in an Oklahoma City hospital. Memorial Services have been set for Friday, November 12, 2021 in Walker Funeral Service Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Gary Nickerson officiating. John was born June 26, 1967 in Oklahoma City to C.A. and Billie Jean (Brown) Gordon. He attended Capitol Hill High School, Seminole State College in 2013 getting Journeyman License for computerized machining Technology and was a CNC Machinist. He married Amie Ellis in 1986. He was active with the Special Olympics, playing Bocca Ball with his daughter; was a coach for special needs softball team with Challengers special olympics; volunteer at the Food Bank; enjoyed fishing; woodworking; personal chef to his wife and kids; avid computer gamer-love of world of war craft netted him many lifelong friends Renee Bennett, Dan and Christine Summers. He loved to travel, one trip traveled to 17 states. Most important highlights were his son, daughter and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Rev. & Mrs. Lloyd Ellis; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Sandra (Ellis) and Bob Pool; Sister-in-law: Brenda Sims. He is survived by: Wife Amie Gordon; Son: John Gordon, Jr of McAlester and Ashley Gordon of Shawnee; Granddaughter: Gwen Gordon; Grandson: Mathis Garret of Shawnee; Daughter: Nicole Gordon of Shawnee; Brother & Sister-in-law: Charles & Renee Gordon of Vremerton, Washington; Washington; Brother: David Gordon of Covington Kentucky; Sister & Brother-in-law: Karen & Dale Sanders of Yukon, Oklahoma; Doris and Wayne Easley of Kingston; Ronnie & Carroll Ellis of Kingston; Delbert and Marsha Ellis of McAlester; Brother-in-law Jim Sims of Shawnee; Sister -in-law: Ester Reeves of Phoenix, Arizona. Longtime friends: Harry Schilltz & fiance' of Norman; Merry Preston; Will and Vivian Randell and family of McAlester and many nieces and nephews. and friends.
