Shawnee resident John Ramirez, 79, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at his residence.Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 6, 2018 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel.John was born May 1, 1938 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Ben Ramirez and Vancey Deere. He graduated from high school in California. He worked many years as a driller in the oil field. John was a member of the Cheyenne Arapaho Tribe and enjoyed watching old westerns, playing solitaire, going to swap meets and flea markets, and spending time with his family.He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son: Ronnie Dean Ramirez, 2 brothers: Frank Ramirez, Glen Urbina, 1 sister: Angela Trevino.Survivors include: Children: Lonnie Ramirez and wife Tarsha of Holdenville,Jacy Ramirez and wife Cynthia Ramirez of Tulsa,Yancey Bear and wife Patricia of Okmulgee,Grandchildren: Taylon Ramirez, Ashley Ramirez, Megan Bear, Spencer Bear,Adopted grandchild: Josep Cruz,Brother: Jerry Urbina and wife Dona of Las Vegas, Nevada.And numerous other family members and friends.
