Kathy Fay Long

Katherine (Kathy) Fay Long of Seminole passed from this life on Thursday, August 31, 2023. Kathy was born October 25, 1964 in Bakersfield, CA to Frank and Linda (Joyner) Long. She graduated from Bakersfield High School and attended Taft College.

Kathy worked in security at Packtive and as a teacher’s aide at McKee School. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds, making dream catchers, writing poems, and making the best patty melts for her kids. Kathy also spent time as a Girl Scout Leader.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Linda Long.

She is survived by her daughter, Nicci Tarpley and husband Nick Hacker; son, Sean Tarpley and wife Becca Goodwin; brother, Frankie Long and wife Vivian; sister, Linda Ellen Runion and husband Will; brother, George Long and wife Gail; sister, Nancy Amick and husband Richard; grandchildren, Gaige Knauss, Cameron Scalf, Keaton Scalf, Sean Tarpley Jr. (S.J.), and Ayden Morse.

Services will be held privately by family.
