Kelee Ann Everett, resident of Harrah, OK, passed away on February 10, 2022 after a life-long struggle with disabilities. She was 42 years old.
Kelee Ann Everett was born to Coy D. Everett and Shelee (Ford) Everett at Edmond Memorial Hospital on January 30, 1980 on a cold and icy day. The temperature of that day was in direct contrast to the warmth this child shared with her family, friends, and strangers.
Kelee was a "special" child, strong, happy and was our sunshine and gift. Despite her limitations, Kelee attended special needs classes at Jefferson Grade School in Shawnee, Oklahoma, Tulsa Public Schools, Lake Mary, Florida Schools and graduated from Edmond Memorial High School Class of 1998. Kelee played softball, rode a tricycle and ran the ten yard dash (sometimes running the race the wrong direction) in the Oklahoma and Florida Special Olympics.
Kelee could be a challenging child to rear at times, shoes were not in her genre. She was sly when she stole your roll off your plate, apples out of the fruit bowl and was a warm cuddle-buddy when she appeared at the side of your bed at night while sucking her thumb expecting you to scoot over and let her under your covers. Kelee was darling, cute, had an infectious smile and was a connoisseur of 80's and 90's movies. Her entire family knows every word to Dirty Dancing and Baby Boom.
She is survived by her broken-hearted parents, Freddie Don and Shelee Stewart, her devoted sister, Carrie Beth (Everett) "Sissy" Pitts and husband Jason, brother Wm. Craig "Craigeeee" Everett, adoring step-sister, Michelle (Stewart) Lentz and husband Ron "Juan", step-brother and giggle-maker, Brandon Stewart and wife Mandy, Papaw, Fred D. Stewart, and father, Coy D. Everett and wife Carla, nephews, Brennen Stewart and wife Kailyn and baby Levi, Aron Lentz and wife Novalee, Chace Pitts, Colston Kelly Pitts, nieces, Abbi (Lentz) Miller and husband Kole and their children, Mariah and Jocie and Maddy Stewart. Many others will miss and mourn the loss of Kelee including numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and caretakers, especially Amanda.
Kelee was preceded in death by her Pee Paw, Wm. H "Bill" and Margy "Mimi" (Tucker) Ford, Papaw Sherman E. and Carol Ann "Grandma" (Pierce) Everett, "Granny," Betty Jewel (Kaundart) Stewart, cousin, Stephanie Marie Stewart and her beloved uncle, Tommy Darrel Royal.
The family would like to thank Pioneer Nursing Home and Harrah Nursing Center Staff, aides, and nurses that treated her like their very own loved one for four years. Also, Traditions Hospice for walking the family through a difficult journey to Kelee's last breath and to Doctor Alexander Frank who ensured Kelee passed with dignity and comfort.
A ceremony to greatly celebrate and remember Kelee will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Walker Funeral Chapel. Kelee will be laid to rest next to her Uncle Tommy at Resthaven Memorial Park following the ceremony. A time for visitation will be held at Walker Funeral & Cremation service on Tuesday evening, February 15th from 4-6pm.
