Kevin Staley Kershaw

Kevin Staley Kershaw, resident of Shawnee passed away on Wednesday June 14th, 2023 at the age of 61.  Kevin was born on June 23rd 1961, in Duncan, Oklahoma.  The family lived in Marlow, Oklahoma until moving to Shawnee in 1969, so that Kevin could attend Faith 7 School.  Kevin moved as a teenager to Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to reside at Southern Oklahoma Resource Center.  Kevin then moved back home to Shawnee in 2016, after briefly living in Midwest City, and lived in Shawnee until his passing.  Kevin was employed by Brightway Community Living who provided his 24 hour care.  Kevin was preceded in death by his parents David Kershaw and Bonita Woodcock, Stepmother Jean Kershaw, one brother Larry Kingsley, and one nephew Larry Kingsley Jr.  He is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Larry Lucas of Shawnee, stepsisters Debbie Lee, Christinna Winters, Lorrie Brittain and Tracy South, stepbrothers Danny, Mike and Mark Cheatwood, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, and all of the wonderful staff that loved and cared for him over the years. Viewing will be held at Walker Funeral Home on Saturday, June 17^th from 9 am – 3 pm, Sunday, June 18^th from 3 pm – 5 pm, and on Monday, June 19^th from 8 am – 5 pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 10:00am at Walker Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee.
