Larry Alan Bullard, age 75 of Shawnee, passed from this life surrounded by his loving family into the arms of Jesus on May 19, 2023, after a short illness.
Larry was born September 3, 1947 in Stockton California to Gladys Summers Bullard and Delbert Bullard. He moved with his family in 1959 to their 80-acre farm East of Shawnee. He graduated from Earlsboro High School in 1965 and then attended Seminole State College. Larry married the love of his life, Sandra (Souders), June 17, 1967. To this union was born three daughters, Angela, Brigit, and Rebecca. Larry was called to active duty in 1967 and served in the US Navy Beachmaster Unit 1 stationed at Coronado Beach during the Vietnam War. He was a journeyman meatcutter and meat market manager for 15 years before his career at Tinker AFB as an aircraft mechanic for 33 years. Larry was a cattle rancher for over 40 years and he and Sandra enjoyed hay hauling and the new calves born in the spring of each year. He loved spending time out on his “big green tractor”. They enjoyed many years of watching their daughters play basketball from elementary through high school. They dearly loved their 7 grandsons and 1 granddaughter and would travel miles and miles including different states to attend their sporting events. Larry was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his family. He was the best husband, father, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law, Wilma Souders.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra of almost 56 years and his three daughters, Angela Corona and husband Jerry, Brigit Thompson, and Becky Little and husband Jason; seven grandsons, Justin Corona, Dakota Little and wife Allison, Tyler Thompson and wife Melissa, Dylan Corona, Dallas Little, Logan Corona, and Dayton Little; one granddaughter, Taryn Thompson also known as sugar baby; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Landon, Aubree, and Justin Jr Corona, Easton, Grayson, and Holland Little, and Stella Thompson; one sister, Sherrian Carter and husband Melvin; one brother, Victor Bullard and wife LaQueta; one sister-in-law, Retha Tucker and husband Lloyd; and one brother-in-law, Lindel Souders and wife Pattie; along with his father-in-law, Fred Souders; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Pallbearers will be his seven grandsons and Hunter Manning. Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Lurry, Alvin Cleere, and Andy Meneely.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at IFC (Immanuel Fellowship) in Seminole, OK officiated by Brother Charles Green. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.
