Linda Carol Block

Linda Carol Block (Treat) 63, of Shawnee, Oklahoma gained her wings on May 23, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.

Linda was born on February 27, 1960 to Emma and Walter Treat in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Linda was one of seven children, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. When Linda had her first child in 1977, Brandi, she worked very hard as a single mother and family factotum. In 1986, Linda met Kerry Paul Block and they wed, going on to have two children, Kerry and Aaron Block.

Linda was a fiercely dedicated mom to her children. Family came first and was above all else to Linda, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Ladonna Treat Wendt, her brothers, Rickey and Darrel Treat, her nephews, Andrew Block, Rex Treat, Donald Wendt Treat, and Carter Alderman and her niece, Amanda Treat.

Linda is survived by her sisters and brother, Dianne Alderman, Darla Endress, and Rex Treat, her daughter and son in-law, Brandi and Kyle Peace and her sons, Kerry and Aaron Block, her grandchildren, Brooklyn and Michael Washburn, Easton and Weston Block, her great-granddaughter, Livly Washburn, her nieces, Christey, Jana, and Vina Treat, Deena Bradford, Rachel Hayes, Lisa Endress and Sumer Wendt, her nephews, Brian and Joshua Treat, Marq and Casey Alderman, Jason Stallings, Terrence Wendt, Marshall and Rusty Endress, her great-nieces and nephews, Dara Dethrow, Shelby, Mackenzie, and Prosper Alderman, Ashlyn Treat, Isabella Judy, Teagan and Auni Weddle, Kaelyn Braford, Blaire Wendt, Kole, Kalvin, Nathan, Tye, and Ayden Alderman, Jessie Reeves, Beck Weddle, Ryder and Champ Hayes and Willie Treat. 

Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, and Friend, you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you, we love you so much. Until we see you again! 

A funeral ceremony for Linda will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Walker Funeral Chapel.
