Lindy Gene Robinson

Lindy Gene (Newby) Robinson passed away Tuesday May 28, 2024 at the age of 91, at the Legends Council Road Assisted Living Center in Oklahoma City.

Lindy Gene was born February 26, 1933 North of McLoud, OK to Dave and Grace Newby. She was a wonderful mother, granny, and Aunt Gene and a special lady to everyone with whom she came in contact.

Lindy Gene married James S. (Shot) Robinson on April 9, 1955 in McLoud and except for a couple of years in Wyoming, they lived in McLoud until Shot passed away January 14, 2021. They were married 65 years.

She is survived by daughter Carolyn and husband Dan Chandler and grandson Alex Chandler of OKC, son Scott and wife Deanna Robinson and grandson Conner Robinson of Moore, OK and granddaughter Morgan and husband Will Kropp of Oceanside CA and great-grandson Ollie Kropp.

She had many nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Gene and were loved by her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Dave and Mary Grace Newby, brother Jake, Kenneth (Tuck), and Dave Jr. Newby and sisters Eveline Barnett and Dorothy Hudson

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 1, 2024 at McLoud First Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Schwarts Cemetery.
