Loyd Ray Cosby

Shawnee resident Loyd Ray Cosby, 67, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022 in Oklahoma City. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Clifton Briscoe officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Loyd was born March 23, 1954 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Harold Cosby and Mildred Lucille (Thomason) Cosby. He married Charlene (Hood) on August 31, 1974 in Moore, OK. Loyd owned a repair business for many years. It was known that if Loyd couldn’t fix it…..it couldn’t be fixed!! He enjoyed drag racing, fishing, traveling, cooking, and amusement park rollercoasters. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson: Brady Cosby. Survivors include his wife: Charlene Cosby of the home, 2 sons: David Cosby of Shawnee and Kevin Cosby of Shawnee, 4 grandchildren: Isabella Cosby, Dalton Cosby, Eli Cosby, and Breylyn Dane and husband Thomas, 2 sisters: Shirley Robison of Shawnee, and Brenda Lyon and husband Mike of Shawnee, and several other family members and friends.
