Meeker resident Marilyn Diane McIntosh, 72, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 at her home. Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 18, 2019 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel.
Marilyn was born January 25, 1947 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Horace and Ruby (Straughn) Drinkwater. She graduated from high school in Weatherford in 1965 and attended Central State University, S.W.O.S.U. and O.S.U. She earned her Master’s Degree in Special Education. Known as “Mrs. Mac” to her students, she worked as a teacher at several schools including White Rock, McLoud, and Harrah before retiring. She was a member of O.R.E.A. and was a volunteer at the Meeker Library and the Special Olympics. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, animals, and photography.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her daughter: Meagan Alldredge of Shawnee, four grandchildren: Cody Alldredge and wife Angela of Shawnee, Cori O’Neal and husband Seth of Shawnee, Sawyer Alldredge of Shawnee, Thomas Alldredge of Shawnee, one great-grandchild: Braxton Alldredge of Shawnee, one brother: David Drinkwater and wife Sylvia of CA, one sister: Nancy Blake and husband Tom of TX, and several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
