hawnee resident Marion McKinney, 81, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 in Shawnee.Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Phil Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Marion McKinney was born February 7, 1937 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Charles Igleheart and Mary (Bollinger) Igleheart. She graduated from Prague High School and later attended Oklahoma State University. She married Karl Bernard Ness Jr. on February 12, 1956. She later married Paul McKinney on March 31, 1984. Marion owned and operated Blaine’s Dress Shop for many years and also worked as a legal assistant and bookkeeper at her husband’s law firm. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at Shawnee Regional Hospital. She was very active in the Republican Party and served as a National Delegate for her sorority, Delta Zeta. She was an accomplished pianist and organist, an expert knitter and embroiderer and enjoyed working puzzles, reading history and was a sports enthusiast. She was preceded in death by her parents and a husband: Paul McKinney.She is survived by: 2 Children: Letitia Ness Brady and husband Hugh of Norman,Karl Bernard Ness III and fiancée Annette Tapia of Rio Rancho, NM,2 Step-Children: Mike McKinney of Fort Worth, TX,David McKinney of Palestine, TX,5 Grandchildren: Aurora Rhiannon Ness,Jeremy Everett Ness,Kelsey Elizabeth Ness,Declan Maximilian Brady,Chase Michael Meade Brady,And other family and friends.
