Marjorie P. Swift

Marjorie P. Swift was born July 7, 1932 in Shawnee, OK. Loving mother, sister, wife and friend passed quietly in her sleep on Sunday, June 25, 2017.  Margie was a generous, gentle person who always had a smile and a kind word for everyone she met. Her greatest joys in life were her family and friends. Along with her husband, David Allen Swift, she owned several businesses throughout her life including D&M Self Storage, Midway Salvage, Swift Water Well Service, and Margie's Statuary Shop.  Margie and David were married May 14, 1955 in Pampa, Texas.  She was preceded in death by her husband, and her parents, Flossie Cole and Joseph M. "Doc" Patterson.She is survived by her Daughter & Son-in-Law: Carol Jane Swift and Mark Johnson of ShawneeGrandchildren: Keylee Nicole Johnson, Marc Anthony Johnson and Tabitha Rose JohnsonSisters: Cassie M. Jackson, and Juanita J. McAnally and her husband Mac - all of ClaremoreBrother: Clifford A. Cole and wife, Evelyn of CowetaAnd numerous nieces and nephews who were all dear to her heart.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 30 at Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. Clint Dawkins officiating.  Burial will follow in Tecumseh Cemetery.
