Martha Sue Warden

Marty Warden, 71, died April 27, 2018, in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

She was born Martha Sue Lowe in Prague, Oklahoma on October 9,1946 to Cecil Thomas Lowe and Nina Idell Webb of Meeker, Oklahoma. She attended all 12 grades of school in Meeker and graduated with the class of 1964. She graduated from the Charles School of Hair Design in Shawnee after high school graduation and worked as a hairdresser in Meeker, Shawnee, and Norman until 1968.

She owned and operated the Golden Twinette Hair Salon in Meeker with her twin sister, Lou, for a short time.

She married Doug Warden of Prague, Oklahoma at the Meeker First Christian Church on August 30, 1968. She lived with her husband and children in Prague, Midwest City, Ayer Massachusetts, Sukiran Okinawa, Shawnee, Eureka Missouri, Springfield Missouri, Chesterfield Missouri and Dallas Texas, before returning to Shawnee in 1993, where she has resided since.

Marty was the definition of a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed putting together creative memories books for her grandchildren, reading a good book, and making everyone in the room crack a smile. Her grandchildren called her "Grammy".

She is survived by son Rob Warden of Saint Charles, Missouri, daughter and son-in-law, April Warden Humphrey and Carey Humphrey of Shawnee, grandchildren Samuel James Warden, Lily Katherene Warden, and Molly Sue Warden of Saint Charles, Missouri and Jordan Jean Humphrey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Cole Douglas Humphrey of Norman, Oklahoma, her sisters, Lou Plumb of Shawnee, her twin Sharon Farmer and her husband, Tom, of Shawnee and sister-in-law Jenny Pratka and her husband Jerry, nieces and nephews are Dawn Plumb, Christy Benard, Noah Plumb, Brian Wolfe, Jason Winchester and Robert Winchester.

She was a Christian and lived that way to the best of her ability. The family has requested that memorials should be sent to the Hope House, 326 W 11th Street, Shawnee, Oklahoma 74801.

Services will be at the Walker Funeral Home, 201 E. 45th St., Shawnee, Tuesday, May 1,2018 at 10:00 AM, with Dewayne Thomas of the Dale Church of Christ officiating. Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.
