During his time in the US Navy, he was stationed in Hawaii and served one tour in Vietnam earning several awards and ribbons including his Vietnam Service Medal. He was honorably discharged in August 1967. After getting out of the service, Marvin and his first wife, Yuvone Eoff, had his only child, son, Marvin Warren Jr., whom he loved with all of his heart and soul. Marvin prided himself on being a stubborn, ornery ol' buzzard with a dry sense of humor, all of which was far surpassed by the love he showered upon his family and friends.Marvin loved making knives and restoring guns, as well as attending every gun show he could find. He spent countless hours restoring his prized car, a 1955 BelAir Coupe. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church and the R.O.M.E.O. (Retired Old Men Eating Out) Club that met weekly. He belonged to the Tecumseh Shooting Club, the National Rifle Association, and the Oklahoma Rifle Association.
